Thankful For My Family

We give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you (Colossians 1:3).

At Karns we have many folks who are all part of our family and for which we should all be thankful:

YOU: for being here and edifying others at worship services.

BABIES: for being here and reminding us of God’s blessings for a future.

MOMS and DADS: who bring their children to church, raising them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

TEACHERS: for their dedication to study and rightly dividing the word, making sure that our classes are fruitful.

PREACHERS: who have devotion and concern for souls with balanced teaching.

DEACONS: for the great many things that get done because you just do it.

LADIES: I really do wonder just how much would be undone and lacking if it were not for your untiring dedication to service in meekness.

ALL OUR FAMILY: we work together well to promote God’s kingdom. At Karns we have been less affected by problems and issues found in the brotherhood because of our commitment to Christ and His will for us.

FELLOW SHEPHERDS: for their committed desire for doctrinal purity and genuine concern for the needs of our family here.

From whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love (Ephesians 4:16).

Much of the joy in Christ comes from our relationships with fellow Christians. This fellowship is not only crucial to having joy, but to remaining faithful to the Lord. Meeting and working with each other allows us to experience all of the blessings the Lord provides. Our being together provides us with encouragement from others to be diligent in fulfilling our roles and responsibilities to each other as Christians.

Make your decision today that you will become as involved as you can in the work at Karns and that you will encourage others also.

Your shepherds are thankful for each and every one of you and we love you dearly.
