Steve Higginbotham

Steve Higginbotham was raised in Chester, WV. He and his wife, Kim, are the parents of four children: Kelli (husband Justin), Michael, Matthew (wife Claire) and Anne Marie. They also have one grandson, Xavier.

Steve graduated from Freed-Hardeman University in 1984 (B.S. Bible). Prior to moving to Knoxville, Steve served as the pulpit minister in two congregations, one in West Virginia and the other in Kentucky. Steve presently serves as the preaching minister for the Karns congregation and also serves as an adjunct faculty member of the Southeast Institute of Biblical Studies.

Steve loves to write and has written several books and regularly contributes to several brotherhood publications. In addition to writing, Steve has been preaching full-time since 1984, and has preached in over 250 gospel meetings and lectureships in 22 states and has taught in 10 mission trips to foreign countries.


Spencer Clark

Spencer was born and raised in Knoxville, TN at the Karns congregation where he met his wife Hannah.

He graduated from Freed-Hardeman in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Bible (minor in Youth and Family Ministry), and a Master of Divinity (2019). Before serving at Karns, Spencer served as a youth minister in Kentucky, Bible Teacher at Knoxville Christian School, and Youth Minister at Karns. He currently serves as the Evangelism/Outreach Minister at Karns and as an adjunct instructor at the Southeast Institute of Biblical Studies.

He and his wife Hannah are the proud parents of a baby boy named Silas.


Christian Frans

Youth Minister

Christian Frans met Abbie while they were studying at Freed Hardeman University. They were married in September of 2020 and have two dogs.

While in school Christian studied Bible with an emphasis in ministry and a minor in missions. Since graduation in 2020 he has have served in full time Youth Ministry.
