I Love My Church Family

I count myself very blessed to be a part of the wonderful Lord’s body here at Karns. I love the great many folks here who inspire me to do better and be faithful. After all, that is what family is about.

Paul wrote about the church at Thessalonica and said they were worthy of imitation as an example to others. “And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you received the word in much affliction, with the joy of the Holy Spirit, so that you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia. For not only has the word of the Lord sounded forth from you in Macedonia and Achaia, but your faith in God has gone forth everywhere, so that we need not say anything” (1 Thess. 1:6-8).

We as your shepherds are very blessed to have such a wonderful group of folks who are a source of inspiration and examples worthy to be followed. The harmony and unity God has blessed us with should not go unnoticed or under appreciated. Many of you are so busy going about doing the work of the Lord that you don’t have time to complain or distract others from doing good. I admire those of you who volunteer to teach and have clearly demonstrated your in-depth study and preparation. I appreciate the comments made in classes indicating a keen interest in studying and understanding God’s word more fully. It is great to see all the volunteers (Psalm 110:3) whenever we have a church event. You step up to help in so many ways that most people don’t even know about or ever see happening.

My prayer is for continued unity and harmony among us at Karns. David once said, “Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity” (Psalms 133:1). Please take a moment to pray for our church family to stay united and dedicated to serving God to our fullest, keeping others first in our thoughts. And as God blesses us, let us in turn be a blessing to others.

I love my church family and I hope you do too!
