30-Day Bible Challenge

By Steve Higginbotham

How many of you are up to a worthwhile challenge? Well, I’d like to challenge you to a 30-day Bible Challenge. Beginning September 1 and going through September 30, I want to challenge us to read through the New Testament.

Now what does that look like? Let me break it down. Reading through the New Testament in 30 days requires you to:

Read eight chapters for 10 days and nine chapters for 20 days. Or, you could just read 9 chapters a day, and September 30th could be a “day of rest.” 🙂

An average reader can accomplish this in 30-35 minutes a day.

Also, let me give you a few ideas:

This can be done as a family and may lead to some important conversations.

Keep a pen and paper or a laptop next to you to take note of passages that catch your attention and require further study.

You may find it helpful to listen to a recording and follow along with the recording.

Wouldn’t it be great if every man, woman, and child at Karns accepted this challenge? I know that nearly all of us have busy schedules, but we can do this.

So now, here’s what I need – Commitments! I want to compile a list of those who have committed in order to encourage others and for accountability. If you’re willing to accept this 30-Day Bible Challenge, simply text your names (and children) to 865-2743479, or write it on a piece of paper and hand it to me.

We have 11 days to decide and then we’ll begin on September 1. Please accept this challenge. It will fill our minds with God’s word and probably help rearrange our priorities for the better. Kim and I are committed. Let me know if you’ll join us!
