Today is a Day to Rejoice!

This is the day which the LORD has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it (Psalm 118:24).

This day has been a long time coming for us here at Karns. Today is a day for rejoicing in the Lord for all the many blessings He has provided.

Our last service in this auditorium was April 1st and we have been anxiously awaiting our return until today. We have been blessed at Karns to have such a loving and caring church family who has supported this effort in so many amazing ways. You have stepped up with your money, time, talents and encouragement. The completion of this expansion and the Southeast addition has finally come to fruition after many years of planning and prayers with God in the forefront of those plans. Today we rejoice!

We must now continue to work God’s plan to plant seeds, evangelize our friends and neighbors, and pray that God will bring the increase. May we use this facility to God’s glory and fill it to the walls with many more souls obedient to the gospel.

Today, we are also blessed to have Freed-Hardeman here with us as special guests and speakers. Many months of planning and coordination have gone into bringing the FreedHardeman University Presidential Trek to our Karns family. Because you are an important part of FHU, President Shannon and his team are on this trek to visit with us and share the tremendous opportunities offered! Today our family joins together with members of the FHU family (past/present/future students, parents and friends) for Bible study, worship and fellowship. Today we rejoice!

The mission of Freed-Hardeman University is to help students develop their God-given talents for His glory by empowering them with an education that integrates Christian faith, scholarship and service.

We need to start each day thanking God for giving us every day and pledging to Him our desire to do His will and accomplish much in His honor. Life is so much more enjoyable when we learn to live faithfully, trusting in our Lord to take care of us today. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
