Karns family we are indeed among God’s most blessed! What a tremendous conclusion to our weekend to have Steve, Kim and the Higginbotham family cast their lot with us as we work together to serve the Lord in our community. God has certainly answered our prayers for which we are very thankful.
Let us continue in prayer for Steve and his family and the transition which will take place over the coming months. Let us pray for our new found sister congregation in Glasgow, KY. South Green Street will need our prayers as they search for Steve’s replacement. Let’s pray the elders shepherding the flock will be able to use this opportunity to glorify God, strengthen, and provide for further growth of the church family there. Ultimately God wants His church to grow in all places wherever she may be found.
You are to be commended for the great love and kindnesses you have shown to the Higginbotham family both while they were here with us this weekend and also in your postings and comments. We as the elders at Karns are very blessed to have you as our family to serve. We are also blessed having our talented ministers to help us during this transition.
In as much as we know that their leaving South Green Street will no doubt be met with no small amount of heartaches, we also know we can do much to make the move to Karns one which is joyful and filled with eager anticipation of the great good we can do together for the kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Let’s determine to take this positive energy and keep it going forward long into the future.
