Steve Higginbotham was raised in Chester, WV. He and his wife, Kim, are the parents of four children: Kelli (husband Justin), Michael, Matthew (wife Claire) and Anne Marie (husband Peyton). They also have two grandchildren, Xavier and Eleanor. Steve graduated from Freed-Hardeman University in 1984 (B.S. Bible). Prior to moving to Knoxville, Steve served as the pulpit minister in two congregations, one in West Virginia and the other in Kentucky. Steve presently serves as the preaching minister for the Karns congregation and also serves as an adjunct faculty member of the Southeast Institute of Biblical Studies. Steve loves to write and has written several books and regularly contributes to several brotherhood publications. In addition to writing, Steve has been preaching full-time since 1984, and has preached in over 250 gospel meetings and lectureships in 22 states and has taught in 10 mission trips to foreign countries.
