Ready, Set, Grow!

For quite some time now we have been working toward an expansion of our facilities. There has been a lot of preparation, planning and effort going into the physical expansion. You might say we have been getting READY for a long time and we are now SET to see the beginnings of our efforts and we will soon see the GROWTH of the building. However, have you ever considered that this physical pattern of ready, set, grow follows the spiritual design found in scripture? For many years we as members of the congregation have been READY to sow seed and grow. We are now at a time in our history and in the community that we are SET for growth. And now as we all plant and water, God will give the GROWTH. Have you noticed how many scriptures speak of “add”, “increase”, “multiply”, and “grow”? It is our duty and expectation from God as his children to be active in always being Ready and Set to teach others for God to bless us with Growth. If we are all working in the kingdom as God desires, then Growth is a natural result. 1) …and that day about three thousand souls were added to them (Acts 2:41). 2) And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved (Acts 2:47). 3) …believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women (Acts

5:14). 4) …the number of the disciples was multiplying (Acts 6:1). 5) …the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem (Acts 6:7). 6) …the churches throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria…, they were multiplied. (Acts 9:31). 7) And a great many people were added to the Lord (Acts 11:24). 8) But the word of God grew and multiplied (Acts 12:24). 9) …the churches were strengthened in the faith, and increased in number daily (Acts 16:5). 10) So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed (Acts 19:20). 11) I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase (1 Corinthians 3:6). 12) He who supplies seed to the sower…will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and

increase the harvest of your righteousness (2 Corinthians 9:10). 13) …when each part is working properly, makes the body grow (Ephesians 4:16) 14) …from whom the whole body, nourished and knit together through its joints and ligaments,

grows with a growth that is from God (Colossians 2:19). The building has been Ready, is now Set and will Grow with God’s blessing. Let’s all do our part to be sure we are sowing the seed because we are Ready, we are Set and God will see to it that we Grow. May God continue to bless us with growth in our numbers and more importantly may we all continue to grow in spiritual maturity.
