Most of the time, I act like a Christian should. Most of the time, I can withstand Satan and his temptations. Most of the time, I read my Bible on a regular basis. Most of the time, I am a good father and husband. Most of the time, I try to be cheerful and think of others before myself.
Then there are other times. There are times when I am weak. There are times I just don’t feel like considering the needs of others. There are times when I am just too busy or tired to read my Bible, so I let it go for the day. I have noticed a correlation between the times I fail to read my Bible and the times I am more susceptible to the fiery darts of the wicked one (Eph. 6:16). There are times when I let God down. There are times when I let God down, again.
However, Jesus was not a “most of the time” person. He was in all points tempted as we are, yet He did not ever sin (Heb. 4:15). He intercedes for us (Rom. 8:34). When we are weak and encounter our “other times”, He is our advocate with the Father (I John 2:1).
I have noticed time and again, that God takes care of me and continues to take care of me, even when I let Him down. I feel horrible when I fail to do His will and yield to temptation. I thank God, through His Son Jesus Christ, that I can be forgiven of sin. This will cause me to say that ALL OF THE TIME, when I sing in worship to the Lord, I will praise Him with eyes full of tears for what He has done for me!
