Yesterday, the Southeast Institute of Biblical Studies held their 2019 commencement. This is an extra special day for the men who have completed their studies. Though this “commencement” celebrates the completion of study, the word “commence” indicates the beginning of their labor in fields which are “white unto harvest.” They have prepared themselves to be about the Father’s business. We are to congratulate them for their effort and decision to devote their lives to the spreading of the gospel.
Six men, who completed their studies this past quarter, walked the stage yesterday: Matt Langfield, Stphane Maillet, Jon Smith, and Mark Talbert. Also walking were Charles Caruthers and Dylan Simmons, who will finish school in December.
Two ladies completed the women’s program and walked yesterday: Julie Langfield and Annik Maillet.
We are thankful to these for their hard work and dedication and we pray to the Lord with thanksgiving and ask that His blessings be with these men during the time of their work in the ministry. We also pray that they use the knowledge they have gained here to His glory.
We are also thankful to Will and the staff for the diligent work they have put forth in training these men, both students in the past and students to come.
We have come to love the students and their families and wish them well on the next segment of their life. They will be missed!
